Summary: The proposed contract involves engineering design services for phase II engineering for a new pedestrian bridge, to close an existing gap in the regionally important Des Plaines Trail. The new pedestrian bridge will be located over the active Union Pacific Railroad tracks located just north of Golf Road in Des Plaines, Illinois. An Invest in Cook grant awarded in 2019 by the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways will fund $176,000.00 of the work.
