Summary: An extension and increase in the original contract approved by the Forest Preserves Board of Commissioners on 6/16/2020 (Board Item No. 20-0215) are needed due to unanticipated project delays due to funding agency approvals that resulted in approximately $25,000.00 in additional project review and coordination and environmental studies work. In addition, redesign of a portion of the proposed bridge may be required, subject to a decision on a request for design modifications by the Union Pacific Railroad.
