Summary: The Forest Preserves would like to continue its relationship with Service Sanitation and is requesting the contract be extended and increased through an additional year. The original contract was a three (3) year contract with two (2), one-year renewal options, ending with the 2020 season. In these unprecedented times and a result of the impact of COVID-19, the Forest Preserves is uncertain about its ability to solicit the required number of bids to secure new contracts for placement and servicing of portable toilets. In 2021, the Forest Preserves intends to go out for bid for a new contract for placement and servicing of standard portable toilets as well as ADA portable toilets for groves with accessible pads. Servicing may include two (2) cleanings per week during peak season for Region 1, which consists of North West, Poplar Creek, Des Plaines, and Indian Boundary Divisions. The Forest Preserves will post a new Request for Proposal for a new contract in 2021.
