Summary: The Forest Preserves is requesting authority to extend and increase the match contribution for a federal grant sub-awarded from Audubon via the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to complete the design, permitting, and construction of a water control and fish passage system at Powderhorn Lake. The proposed extension is required to accommodate delays caused by discrepancies in the recorded location of a utility pipeline discovered during construction which necessitated additional reengineering and permitting.
