PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Great Lakes Landscape Co., primary place of business Bartlett, Illinois, for Districtwide Transportation Improvements at Possum Hollow Woods and Villa Santa Maria, primarily in South Cook County.
Specific locations are in LaGrange Park (Possum Hollow Woods parking) and in Tinley Park (new parking facility at the newly acquired property at Villa Santa Maria).
Reason: Contract #74000010826 issued under Project #19-80-67G-22C5 Districtwide Transportation Improvements. The work includes but is not limited to green infrastructure porous unit paving retrofitting, new parking facility development, drainage and access improvements and other related work as specified in the plans & specifications. Green infrastructure work is partially funded by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
