PROPOSED AGREEMENT
Vendor: Chicago River Canoe and Kayak, Evanston, Illinois
Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (“the Preserves”) to enter into an agreement
Reason: Contact 17-40-401 is a request for boat concessions at the Maple Lake Boat House. The selected vendor, Chicago River Canoe and Kayak, was determined to be the most responsive and responsible of the two (2) respondents to operate the facility. Chicago River Canoe and Kayak will be responsible for maintaining and providing kayak, canoe and rowboat rentals and concessions at the Maple Lake Boat House. The contract term is for a period of three (3) years, with two (2) two-year renewal options.
Chicago River Canoe and Kayak has agreed to pay the Preserves the following annual fee(s), plus 5% of gross sales.
Year 1: $6,000.00, Year 2: $7,000.00, Year 3: $8,000.00, Year 4: $9,000.00, Year 5: $10,000.00, Year 6: $11,000.00, Year 7: $12,000.00
Contract period: Eighty four (84) months from the issuance of the Purchase Order
Estimated Fiscal Impact: Generation of $63,000.00 + 5% of gross sales
