Summary: Contract #74000013938, Project #23-80-13, provides for construction services at the Forest Preserves’ General Headquarters building, including replacement of all windows, improvements to the building envelope, and comprehensive restroom renovations. A contract amendment is being requested to allow for completion of the ongoing construction work. The need for this amendment is primarily due to delays in the procurement and delivery of window materials. Work is expected to be substantially complete this spring, but additional time is needed for final inspections, blower door testing, and contract closeout.
