Summary: The original scope of services was for design, construction administration and commissioning of a new Very High Efficiency (VHE), all-electric heating and cooling (HVAC) system at the Forest Preserves’ General Headquarters. Additional time is needed for the continuation of commissioning services following unforeseen damage to outside ground-mounted HVAC pipes from falling rooftop ice and by a delay in completion of the windows due to a delay in approval and procurement of the specified materials. As the Engineer of Record for the new HVAC system and the envelope design, Interface Engineering is uniquely qualified to complete the project.
