Summary: The Forest Preserves' General Headquarters building in River Forest is its second largest building and one of its highest energy users. Professional services are needed to design and oversee replacement of the existing inefficient heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at the Forest Preserves' General Headquarters (GHQ) building with a very high efficiency HVAC system that could be partially funded by a grant from ComEd's Emerging Technologies pilot program. The ComEd grant requires design that is acceptable to a ComEd's technical assistance partner to ensure the system meets sustainability outcomes. An agreement with that partner was previously approved by the Board of Commissioners (Board Item No. 21-0479).
