14-0098 1 Elk High School ResolutionConsent Calendar ResolutionPROPOSED RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CLASS WHEREAS, the Elk Grove High School AP Environmental Science class has completed an in depth study of the water quality in Busse Woods; and WHEREAS, the AP Environmental Science class consists of 48 junior and senior students who elected to take the course; and WHEREAS, the tests were conducted in Busse Woods at both Busse Lake and Salt Creek in September 2013; and WHEREAS, the students used the Water Quality Index test which are typically used by professionals in the field of environmental science; WHEREAS, the tests are used to measure the water quality and identify any problems in the water supply; and WHEREAS, the results showed that the water quality was average, showing no indications of any problems in the water quality; and WHEREAS, the students worked to compile into a detailed lab report which they would like to turn over to the Cook County Forest Preserve District.
