As part of this project, the Village will stabilize the lagoon banks with 3:1 slopes, emergent plants and wet prairie plants, and restore the encroachment area with low profile grasses. A few low value trees impacted by this project will be replaced with new trees within the restoration area. The Village will manage the restoration area for 5 years to establish the new plantings. On Sunday, June 1, Pace begins operating routes 770 and 771, which travel between the zoo and the CTA’s Blue, Green and Pink lines. On Sunday, June 7, Route 772 begins service connecting the 95th/Dan Ryan CTA Red Line station with the zoo. All three routes will operate until August 30.
