24-0459 1  Ordinance AmendmentPROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT REPEAL OUTDATED RECYCLING ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Title 1 (Administrative), Chapter 15 (Reduction of Waste) of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Code of Ordinances is hereby repealed in its entirety: 1-15-1: REDUCTION OF WASTE THROUGH REFUSE AND RECYCLING. The Forest Preserve District shall develop and implement a plan to reduce and reuse material, and to recycle material from all Forest Preserve facilities. Such plan will be calculated for the purpose of achieving a district-wide goal of 25 percent waste diversion and an accompanying 25 percent waste disposal cost reduction.
