Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Fabex Technologies, LLC, Chicago, Illinois for improvements at Sand Ridge Nature Center located in South Holland, Illinois.
Reason: Contract #7400018002 issued under Solicitation #26-80-013850 for Project # 25-80-12 Sand Ridge Nature Center Building Improvements. The work primarily includes repairs to the animal kitchen, laundry, and exterior entry. Work includes, but is not limited to: selective demolition of existing animal food prep kitchen millwork and associated fixtures; installation of custom stainless steel kitchen system, associated fixtures and epoxy flooring; installation of connections and exhaust for washer/dryer; replacement and repair of select entry canopy components, masonry restoration and replacement of existing entry doors to accommodate automatic push plate entry for accessibility; and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications.
