Summary: Supply chain issues relating to electrical equipment have delayed the construction of the new Salt Creek Landscape Maintenance Headquarters Building which is currently 70% complete. The equipment will not be delivered until the fall, resulting in the need to extend the current July 2024 grant end date. Forest Preserves staff anticipate project completion by the end of 2024, but IDNR has approved a 12-month extension in the event there are additional unanticipated delays.
