Summary: On 6/22/2021, the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners approved the acceptance of grant funding from IDNR’s Park and Recreational Facility Construction (PARC) Grant Program (Board Item No. 21-0316) to address accessibility, energy efficiency, wayfinding signs, and other related improvements at Caldwell Woods Warming Shelter.
A no-cost time extension of the grant agreement for twelve (12) months is being requested to allow for completion of the work, which was postponed due to supply chain issues and related construction delays.
