Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County to enter into a construction contract with Fabex Technologies, LLC, primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for shelter repairs at Bunker Hill, Busse Woods, Harms Woods, Schiller Woods, St. Paul Woods, Thatcher Woods, Bemis Woods, Schuth’s Grove, Campground Road Woods, National Grove, and White Eagle Woods.
Reason: Contract #74000013027 issued under Project #23-80-03 for 2023 Picnic Shelter Repairs at various sites in north, northwest, and central Cook County. The work addresses the renovation of thirty (30) existing picnic shelters. The work includes, but is not limited to, lead-based paint removal, concrete ceiling panel patching, concrete ceiling panel replacement, roof removal and replacement, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications.
