Summary:  The Forest Preserves’ purchase of the three (3) mowers will enable the Department of Landscape Maintenance to replace units that are over thirty (30) years old. The new units will allow staff to mow regardless of temperatures and maintain large areas in less time with an increased cutting width of 16 feet. Green technologies for this product are not yet available in the U.S. market.
