PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Pan-Oceanic Engineering Co., Inc., primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for unpaved trail repairs at various locations.
Specific locations are Bemis Woods-South orange unpaved loop, Deer Grove yellow unpaved loop, Des Plaines River Trail yellow unpaved trail north of Dempster Avenue, Spring Lake Trails at Beverly Lake and Thorn Creek yellow unpaved trail at Jurgensen Woods.
Reason: Contract #74000012636 issued under Project #21-80-03-C2 Unpaved Trail Repairs at Bemis Woods-South, Deer Grove, Des Plaines River Trail, Spring Lake and Thorn Creek Trail System. The work includes but is not limited to aggregate or topsoil surface installation, trail realignment, concrete pavement, culvert removal and installation, grading of ditches, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications.
