Summary: The Facilities and Fleet Department received permission from the Vehicle Steering Committee to purchase two vehicles to meet the growing staff needs of the Law Enforcement and Resource Management Departments. One (1) Ford F150 Lightning Pro pick-up truck will be assigned to the Resource Management Department. The purchase of the pick-up truck will support expanding departmental operations, and pilot electric vehicles for the Preserves.
One (1) Ford F150 Hybrid K9 pick-up truck will be assigned to the Law Enforcement Department. This request will be predominantly funded with a $75,000.00 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) sub-award from the Cook County Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security (Board Item No. 22-0527).
