Summary: The Department of Fleet and Facilities received permission from the Vehicle Steering Committee on 1/19/2023 to decommission four (4) Forest Preserves pick-up trucks due to age and condition; and purchase four (4) new pick-up trucks to be assigned to the Department of Resource Management. The purchase of four (4) Ford F150 Crew Cab Hybrid vehicles will be via a piggyback contract based on City of Chicago’s competitively bid contract #115511. All Ford F150 Crew Cab Hybrid vehicles are sustainable vehicles. The purchase of these pick-up trucks will support the Forest Preserves’ Green Fleet plan and reduce greenhouse gas production.
