Summary:  The Forest Preserves issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a contractor to perform aquatic herbicide lake treatments at the Forest Preserves’ 42 recreational lakes and other waterbodies. These services supplement in-house aquatic vegetation control treatments conducted by the Forest Preserves annually to meet the aesthetic and recreational needs of the public and limit the proliferation of nuisance and/or invasive vegetation on its waterbodies.

Due to receiving only a single response to the initial public solicitation, the Request for Proposals was subsequently reissued to expand the list of qualified respondents. Two (2) firms submitted proposals in response to the RFP. A selection committee reviewed the proposals and Clarke Aquatic Services, Inc. was selected based on qualifications.
