Summary: The Forest Preserves has maintained a collaborative partnership with CBG since 2014 to administer the Plants of Concern ("POC") program. The Forest Preserves is requesting to extend the contract for the Plants of Concern program for an additional five (5) years, at a rate not to exceed $75,000.00 per year, in order to continue this beneficial research work as well as amend the scope of services to allow for expenses related to ancillary services such as seed collection, plant propagation, and banking of seed and/or herbarium specimens. These added services support the Forest Preserves' mission to restore and preserve populations of rare plant species or other species identified as necessary for plant community enhancement in the Forest Preserves, based on information gathered through the POC program.
