Summary: The Forest Preserves is recommending an extension to its current agreement with its golf management vendor. The current agreement expires at the end of this year. The Forest Preserves intends to bid out for a new management contract for the golf courses. In the interim, an extension is needed for the current contract due to unavoidable delays in the concept plans process for Burnham Woods, River Oaks and Edgebrook.
Once the concept plan process is finalized, the Forest Preserves intends to spend significant time engaging community members and relevant stakeholders. Ultimately, the goal is to post the new golf course management RFP in the spring of 2023 to allow potential vendors to see the courses.
