PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Great Lakes Landscape Co., primary place of business Bartlett, Illinois, for unpaved trail improvement and repair at Camp Reinberg, Crabtree Nature Center, Sagawau Environmental Learning Center and Sand Ridge Nature Center.
Specific locations are in Palatine (Camp Reinberg), in Barrington Hills (Crabtree Nature Center) in Lemont (Sagawau Environmental Learning Center) and in South Holland (Sand Ridge Nature Center).
Reason: Contract #74000010828 issued under Project #21-80-03-C1-R (rebid) Unpaved Trail Repairs and Improvements. The work includes but is not limited to aggregate or topsoil surface installation, trail widening, concrete sidewalk installation, culvert removal and installation, tree removals, grading of ditches and other related work as specified in the plans & specifications.
