PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Pan-Oceanic Engineering Co., Inc., primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for Districtwide Transportation Improvements at various locations, primarily in North Cook County.
Specific locations are in Chicago (Caldwell Woods/Whealan Pool Improvements, North Branch Trail over Oakton St./Caldwell Ave), in Northfield (North Branch Trail under I-94) and in Skokie (Skokie Resource Management HQ Parking Lot Expansion).
Reason: Contract #74000010862 issued under Project #19-80-67G-22C3R (rebid) Districtwide Transportation Improvements for the North Branch Area Improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to pavement surfacing, paved trail realignment, ADA access improvements, structural repairs and other related work as specified in the plans & specifications.
