PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION
Department: Department of Planning and Development
Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the "Forest Preserves") to enter into a construction contract with Enlight Contracting, LLC, primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for Districtwide Transportation Improvements at various locations, primarily in Northwest Cook County.
Specific locations are in Palatine (Old Stover Trail across from Crabtree Nature Center, Camp Alphonse, Deer Grove West, Deer Grove #1, Deer Grove #2, Deer Grove #3, Deer Grove Culvert Repair near Grove #5), in Elk Grove Village (Busse Forest - Grove 31, Busse Forest - Elk Pasture, Busse Forest - Busse Lake Boating Center - Grove 17 and Grove 25), near Winnetka (Tower Road Boat Launch), in Lyons (Stony Ford Canoe Launch) and in Western Springs (Salt Creek Resource Management HQ).
Reason: Contract #74000010546 issued under Project #19-80-67G-22C1 Districtwide Transportation Improvements for the North Parking Lot Improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to paved trail improvements, access drives and adjacent parking areas and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications.
