Request:  Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with CPMH Construction, primary place of business Chicago, Illinois, for a hydrologic repair project at Tinley Creek Ravines.

 

Reason:   Contract #74000009631 issued under Project #21-31-101 Tinley Creek Ravines Hydrologic Repairs. The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of a stormwater control structure and drainage basin, berm construction, a series of stone check dams, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications. The purpose of the project is to reduce erosion and degradation of sensitive ravine topographies, and to restore hydrologic function to the site.

 

Construction will be entirely funded through licensing fees received from the Village of Oak Lawn and other Municipal Customers of the Oak Lawn Regional Water System related to the installation of a water transmission main in the Tinley Creek Preserves (Board Item No. 15-0201).
