PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION

Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Matthew Paving, Inc., primary place of business Oak Lawn, Illinois, for Districtwide Transportation Improvements at Cherry Hill Woods in Palos, Crawdad Slough in Willow Springs, and McClaughrey Springs Woods in Palos Park.
Reason: Contract #74000009400 issued under Project #19-80-67G-21C4 Districtwide Transportation Improvements at three (3) locations (Cherry Hill Woods, Crawdad Slough, and McClaughrey Springs Woods). The work includes, but is not limited to, parking lot resurfacing, concrete sidewalk and pads, drainage improvements, pavement markings, and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications.
