Summary: The Vehicle Steering Committee (VSC) voted to decommission a total of eighteen (18) vehicles at the meeting held on 4/19/2021 and to decommission two (2) vehicles at the meeting held on 12/7/2020.  At the VSC meeting held on 4/19/2021, the VSC voted to acquire a total of twenty (20) vehicles: nineteen (19) new vehicles for the Law Enforcement Department and one (1) new vehicle for the Resource Management Department.

 

Under this proposed contract, sixteen (16) vehicles for the Law Enforcement Department and one (1) vehicle for the Resource Management Department will be hybrid electric vehicles. The purchase of these vehicles will support the Forest Preserves sustainability goals and reduce greenhouse gas production.
