Summary: Vaccines have become available to combat the current COVID-19 pandemic. In order to facilitate administration of available vaccines throughout Cook County, the Cook County Health and Hospitals System (CCH), working in concert with its affiliate the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH), is in the process of securing multiple vaccination sites. Seeking authorization to allow up to five (5) of those locations to be sites within the Forest Preserves, with specific locations subject to approval of the General Superintendent. These sites will allow for drive-thru vaccine administration and any auxiliary services related to pandemic response efforts. While no fees will be charged by the Forest Preserves for such use, CCH will be responsible for, without limitation, all clinical activities, emergency health services, traffic control, security, removal of waste and compliance with all applicable laws. CCH will also be responsible for restoring any used site(s) to their pre-existing condition. Final agreement is subject to legal review and approval.
