Summary: The specified law firms have been selected through the Forest Preserves’ Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process. Three of the responding firms are certified Minority-Owned Business Enterprises via the City of Chicago: Brothers & Thompson, P.C., Neal & Leroy, LLC, and Tristan & Cervantes, LLC. Also, several respondents noted that they have programs designed to include minority and women representation on matters.
Contracts for legal services are to be performed upon request of the Forest Preserves, subject to the negotiation and execution of a retention letter by the Forest Preserves’ Legal Department. Legal fees for authorized work are subject to approval by the Forest Preserves’ Finance Subcommittee on Litigation and Board of Commissioners.
