Summary: The Forest Preserves is seeking authorization to enter into this proposed contract on a sole source basis for the monitoring of fire alarm systems and associated equipment. An agreement with the original vendor Tyco Integrated Security was approved by the Board of Commissioners on 3/22/2016 (Agenda No. 16-0114) and extended by the Purchasing Agent. Fees for services and number of covered locations have decreased from the original contract.
This proposed contract is to maintain these required services for a period of five (5) years. If the Forest Preserves elects to terminate this contract at any time during the five (5) year term, payment in full for the remainder of the contract is required.
