PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT
Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a Partnership Agreement with the Save the Prairie Society, Westchester, Illinois.
Reason: The Save the Prairie Society, a volunteer-led conservation organization focused on the protection of Wolf Road Prairie Nature Preserve, wishes to contribute up to $15,000.00 to support habitat improvement work at Wolf Road Prairie Nature Preserve in central Cook County. The Forest Preserves and the Save the Prairie Society will collaborate to conduct restoration activities including invasive plant control across a 40-acre area of the preserve.
Funding and contractual management services will be provided by the Save the Prairie Society, at no direct cost to the Forest Preserves. The Forest Preserves wishes to partner with the Save the Prairie Society to assist in coordinating the proposed restoration activities. All projects will be subject to review and approval by the Forest Preserves prior to proceeding.
Contract period: Date of execution - 12/31/2023
Fiscal Impact: N/A. The Forest Preserves will provide in-kind staff support for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects.
