Summary: At the June 16, 2020 Board Meeting, the Forest Preserves notified the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners that it would seek amendments to existing concession agreements to mitigate the financial impact of COVID-19. Because of restrictions implemented by the State of Illinois related to COVID-19, the Glen Grove Equestrian Center was required to reduce operations from March 15th to June 1st. Class offerings were limited to 25% of typical maximum capacity in June, 50% in July and 75% in August. Glen Grove's revenue is down approximately $125,000.00 (15%) from typical season revenue as of August 31, 2020. In order to ensure the long-term viability of this concession enterprise, the Forest Preserves seeks authorization to reduce the vendor's 2020 annual base fee of $190,000.00 ...
