PROPOSED BID RECOMMENDATION

Request: Authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into a construction contract with Fabex Technologies, LLC, primary place of business Chicago, Illinois for the fabrication and installation of interpretive exhibits at Sand Ridge Nature Center near Calumet City.
Reason: Contract #74000008391, issued under Solicitation #20-80-005632 for Project #20-80-44 Fabrication and Installation of Exhibits at Sand Ridge Nature Center, includes displays (including live animal habitats) and graphics and other related work as specified in the plans and specifications. This work is funded by a 2019 Forest Preserves capital bond issue and a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources through the Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development (OSLAD) grant program.
