Vendor:  Proviso Township High Schools District 209 (“Grantor”), Forest Park, Illinois

 

Request:  Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) to enter into an agreement to acquire permanent and temporary easements.

 

Summary:  The Forest Preserves will be installing a new potable water service from the north side of Roosevelt Rd, approximately 380 feet east of 1st Ave in the Village of Forest Park, to the Forest Preserves' Central Maintenance Facility at 2199 S 1st Ave in Maywood. A temporary easement of 46 ft x 46 ft is required to complete the connection of the new line to the existing Forest Park watermain and a permanent easement of 27 ft x 28 ft will be required to maintain the service (collectively referred to as the "Easements"). Permission is now sought, upon satisfactory completion of all due diligence and negotiation of any and all required documentation as determined by the Forest Preserves’ Legal Department, to acquire the Easements and to effectuate payment in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 for the Easements, including any closing costs, as full compensation for the acquisition of the Easements.

 

Contract Period: Permanent easement perpetual, Temporary easement from 8/1/2020 - 7/30/2021

 

Estimated Fiscal Impact: Not to exceed $25,000.00
