Summary: The extension of this agreement will assist the Forest Preserves with maintaining and improving accessibility within the Forest Preserves. Since 2016, the vendor has assisted the Forest Preserves with the following: (1) a Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan; (2) updating the District's barrier removal plan for making properties within the Forest Preserves more accessible; (3) development and implementation of staff training plans; (4) the management of the ADA Advisory committee; (5) outreach strategies and improvements in communication and marketing to the disability community; and (6) programmatic improvements.
