PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT OF COOK COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GOOSE LAKE HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION

 

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”) acquired and holds title to approximately a 10-acre parcel of land commonly known as Lot 4 of the Goose Lake Subdivision in Barrington Hills, Illinois (the “Property”); and

 

WHEREAS, the Property is part of the Goose Lake Homeowner’s Association (the “HOA”); and

 

WHEREAS, as a member of the HOA, the Forest Preserves can vote on HOA issues and is required to pay its pro rata share of assessments approved by the HOA; and

 

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserves’ desires to participate in HOA business and vote on HOA matters; and

 

WHEREAS, the Forest Preserves’ pro rata share of the HOA’s 2020 annual assessment is Five-Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($500.00)(the “2020 Annual Assessment”); and

 

WHEREAS, a special assessment remains outstanding on the Property of Five Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($5,000.00) (the “Special Assessment”) in connection with a dam project and the Forest Preserves may be required to pay all, some, or none of this special assessment.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby authorize the General Superintendent, or his/her designee, to formally participate in the HOA and vote on HOA matters; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Forest Preserves be authorized to remit payment, if deemed necessary and reasonable by the General Superintendent for the following: (1) Special Assessment; (2) the 2020 Annual Assessment; and (3) subsequent annual assessments approved by the HOA, provided such annual assessments do not exceed Seven-Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($750.00). end
