Summary: On 10/24/2019, the Cook County Board of Commissioners approved a contract for Mobile Telecommunications Services with Cellco Partnership D/B/A Verizon Wireless (the “County Contract”). The Forest Preserves is requesting authorization to piggyback off the County Contract. Mobile telecommunication services are used to conduct business of the Forest Preserves. All Departments utilize telecommunication services for cellular phone communication, cellular transmission of data, texting, and email. This agreement includes improved services and reduced cell phone rates which will save the Forest Preserves approximately $16,100.00 annually.
