Summary: The Forest Preserves would like to continue its collaborative partnership with Recreational Equipment Inc. (“REI”) for the purposes of providing outdoor recreation and outdoor classes to REI’s participants, as well as educating the public with nature-based activities. For all classes conducted on the Forest Preserves’ property, REI will continue to compensate the Forest Preserves with 20% of all registration fees collected from its participants in lieu of paying permit fees. This amendment will extend the agreement and allow REI to have a trailer/storage container on site at the Saganashkee Slough Boat Launch to store equipment used by course participants for recreational programming. Final amendment is subject to legal review and approval.
