PROPOSED LICENSE REQUEST
Request: Requesting authorization for the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the “Forest Preserves”), as Licensor to grant a License to Commonwealth Edison Company (“ComEd”), Grantee, to locate, operate and maintain two (2) utility poles and 730 linear feet of underground electric conduit along the south side of Chicago Heights Glenwood Road in Glenwood Woods. The underground conduit will replace an existing overhead line on the north side of the road that needs to be moved to accommodate a road reconstruction project. Installing the line underground eliminates the need for tree removal and minimizes impact to the Forest Preserves.

License Application Fee: $1,500.00
License Review Fees: $4,000.00
YELAR Fee: $6,450.00
Total one-time upfront fee of $33,568.46 for the term of the License

Grantee has met the insurance requirements under the License Agreement.
The Forest Preserves staff have reviewed this license application and plans and have found them to be acceptable; therefore, it is recommended that the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners approve the issuance of this license.
