Summary: On September 10, 2013, the Forest Preserves of Cook County Board of Commissioners approved the Forest Preserves of Cook County (the "Forest Preserves") request to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Hoffman Estates (the "Village") and the Hoffman Estates Park District (the "Park District") to participate in the development of trail improvements connecting the Prairie Stone Business Park to the Poplar Creek loop trail in Northwest Cook County (the "2013 IGA"). The Forest Preserves was authorized to spend $84,531.00. Required authorizations to complete the project as designed were not received before the deadlines in the 2013 IGA. The Forest Preserves spent $20,898.52 under the 2013 IGA.
