Summary: The proposed contract is for camera repair and maintenance at various properties owned or leased by the Forest Preserves. The Forest Preserves issued a Request for Proposal on its website and received two (2) responses. The Forest Preserves determined that SMG Security Holdings LLC provided the best value to manage the repair and maintenance of our cameras. This year SMG Security Holdings was awarded a multiple year contract #74000006019 issued under RFP #19-53-003 for alarm monitoring and maintenance with costs not to exceed $900,000.00 (19-0279). This contract request is independent of the alarm monitoring contract.
