Summary/Notes:  The Scout Council proposed this “Use Agreement” with the Forest Preserves in order to create a clearer process for the Scout Council and for individual scout units to work with the Forest Preserves on accessing Forest Preserves sites for major scout programs, which may include several thousand in participation. This agreement provides a timeline for the scouts to request sites; defines the Scout Council groups versus the scout units; and provides a specific point of contact for the Scout Council and the Forest Preserves. The Forest Preserves value their relationship with the Scout Council and share common goals of getting youth outside and connecting them to nature.
