Summary: The extension of this agreement will assist the Forest Preserves with maintaining and improving the accessibility to the Forest Preserves. During the term of the extension, the vendor will continue to assist with (1) a Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan; (2) an updated barrier removal plan for making properties within the Forest Preserves more accessible; (3) the on-going development and implementation of the staff training plan; (4) the management of the ADA Advisory committee; (5) identifying outreach strategies and improvements in communication and marketing to the disability community; and (6) programmatic improvements. The Forest Preserves will issue a Request for Proposal of similar services, prior to the conclusion of this extension.
