Summary: Effective 5/21/2018, the City of Chicago has imposed a Transfer Station Handling Facility fee increase of $.22 for each ton of refuse that is disposed of at Lakeshore Recycling Systems, Chicago, Illinois. Lakeshore Recycling Systems is requesting an amendment to the Forest Preserves contract price of $43.50 per ton to $43.72 per ton for refuse dumped at their Transfer Station Handling Facility resulting from the recent ordinance.
