Summary: On 6/24/2013, the Forest Preserves issued a Request for Qualifications for Phase I, II and III Engineering Services for the Sand Ridge Bicycle Trail. Agreements for Phase I & II Engineering were executed between Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. ("CCBEL") and the Forest Preserves. Both Phases I & II Engineering are now complete. Phase III engineering includes construction management and inspection services for approximately 1.3 miles of bicycle trail from Sand Ridge Nature Center to Green Lake Aquatic Center and the Burnham Greenway. CBBEL was selected on a sole source basis to complete Phase III Engineering Services based on its qualifications and familiarity with the project based on completion of Phase I&II work.
