Summary: Project #18-31-101S consists of comprehensive habitat enhancement services including, but not limited to invasive species management, prescribed burning, and ecological and hydrological repair throughout the Forest Preserves south region. Work will involve restoration at high quality sites which require a high degree of specialization. The Forest Preserves issued a Request for Proposals, and received a total of eight (8) responses for this project.
The Forest Preserves assembled a review panel which consisted of various Forest Preserve staff and outside experts that considered Pizzo & Associates’ proposal one of the most responsive, with particular strengths in experience, expertise, and performance capacity as it relates to the work as detailed in the specifications. Proposals were evaluated on their experience and expertise with similar projects, proposed approach, cost proposal, and capacity to perform all aspects of the work. Pizzo & Associates is 1 of 4 vendors selected to perform services under this contract.
This contract is critical to advancing the goals of the Next Century Conservation Plan to restore 30,000 acres to ecological health.
