Summary: Additional money is required to complete Task Order 14-80-31 due to the discovery of a previously unknown presence of iron bacteria, associated re-design and re-permitting to add pre-treatment systems to address the bacteria and other utility-related design revisions. Work undertaken by this contract will improve the taste and color of the well water at the above mentioned locations and extend the life of pipes and plumbing fixtures. The work includes the design of reverse osmosis filtration systems.
