Summary: This item is a request for the Preserves to bid construction projects to a pre-qualified contractor pool. Preserves' staff have solicited the submission of qualifications for a pre-qualified contractor pool that is qualified to bid on a list of projected 2017-2019 projects with an estimated total capital budget of $8-$10 million. The Preserves' project managers are seeking to familiarize pre-qualified contractors with the Preserves bid requirements and facilities, and to streamline the bid process. Construction bid opportunities over the next two (2) years will focus heavily on deferred maintenance and repairs where more familiarity with the Preserves' procedures and facilities is desirable.
Over 30 firms submitted qualifications by the initial response deadline in response to RFQ 17-80-62. An evaluation committee determined that twenty-seven (27) firms met the evaluation criteria included in the RFQ. Acceptance into the membership pool will continue on a rolling basis.
